Our Philosophy...

The Postpartum Doula's role changes from family to family, day to day, even hour to hour. Teacher, nurturer, listener and sometimes just a shoulder to lean on, a doula at all times provides reassurance and support. Our goal is to enable parents to move toward independence by feeling confident in their parenting skills and decision making abiilty. It is our belief that parents can and will be successful.*

A Postpartum Doula:

Supports and assists Moms during postpartum for two weeks or more
Is trained to be nonjudgemental
Observes and maintains client confidentiality

We specialize and are trained in:

Multiples
Infant and Newborn care
Lactation support
Childcare and development
Postpartum depression

*Doula-(doo-luh) a non-medical assistant in prenatal care,childbirth and during the postpartum period

The Family Doula

Offers Postpartum Care to families welcoming home their newborn baby(ies). We provide practical help, knowledge and support along with local resources.
